Hello all! Apologies for our lack of content recently we have been super busy! Also the animals have been hiding? No. Not to worry we have not abandoned our project. To kick us back off on track here is a lovely new entry from a newcomer to the site Nicolas Jamart. Let us know in the comments if you would like to see more and if we should make him an author! :) Here is a great story from him.

Nelson Mandela said « Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world ». Africa is at a turning point in its history. The rates at which the animal populations, from the leaping antelopes to the roaring lions, disappear have never been so big. If we want to change this and contribute at our own scale to change the world, we need to educate the people on the plight the African savannah and its inhabitants are facing every day from poaching to habitat loss and many more. A picture of a male lion might soon be a thing of the past … the estimated population of wild lion reach only around 35 000 …

This male lion was resting in the long grass and started roaring a couple of minutes before we found him. He is part of a coalition of three male lions ruling over a pride in the Naboisho Conservancy, Kenya. We stayed with him for about ten minutes before he had had enough of resting in the grass and decided to venture deeper in the bushes where we could not follow.
